Bachelor in Katholieke godsdienst

At Artevelde University College Ghent, tuition comes to 7,760 EUR per year.

Starting with the module 'Katholieke godsdienst 1: Levensbeschouwing en christendom', this programme offers a Bachelor in Religious Education in secondary schools, focusing on the Judaeo-Christian tradition.

Students explore old Bible stories that remain surprisingly relevant today, critically examine the Christian tradition, and engage with the ethical sensitivities of modern Christianity. They learn the skills of the trade and become contemporary religion teachers, ready to shape the interfaith dialogue of tomorrow.

Students describe themselves as open witnesses, creative enthusiasts, passionate experts, and respectful listeners, guiding pupils through their own journeys of faith. The programme combines theory and practice, with stages in actual schools starting from the first year, and offers career prospects in various sectors, including social and cultural organisations, the media, and pastoral work.
