Master in Kuroshio Sciences

Taught at Kochi University, the Kuroshio Science programme is a master's in the black currents region, an area that includes Japan and the eastern part of Southeast Asia. This programme covers various fields including natural, human, and medical sciences to holistically study the resources, environment, society, and health of the Kuroshio region.

Kuroshio Science is not just about studying the Kuroshio Current itself, but rather it is a new academic concept that aims to promote research on the coexistence of nature and humans. The programme addresses the interaction between water, land, and atmosphere in the Kuroshio region.
