Students who excel in interdisciplinary collaboration and are eager to enhance their foreign language skills and intercultural competence will thrive in the Language and Communication Technologies (LCT) Master's programme. This programme, coordinated by Saarland University, allows students to select subject-related and geographical areas of preference from a consortium that includes universities in the Czech Republic, France, Italy, Malta, the Netherlands and Spain. The programme's structure enables students to combine modules from language technology, computational linguistics, theoretical linguistics, and computer science. It culminates in a Master's thesis, jointly supervised and defended in front of a jury from the two chosen universities. Students also have the opportunity to earn scholarships and other funding sources to support their studies. Each student receives support and guidance from two academic supervisors – one from each of the student's two chosen universities.
