Bachelor in Licence - Chimie

Tuition fees for Bachelor in Licence - Chimie are 178 EUR per year.

Chemistry is the scientific study of matter — its composition, properties, reactions, and transformations at the atomic and molecular level. A Licence Chimie provides students with a systematic grounding in the major branches of the discipline: general and inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry, physical chemistry, and analytical chemistry. Laboratory sessions are central to the degree; students learn to use standard instruments, carry out synthesis and analysis procedures, and interpret experimental data within a theoretical framework developed progressively across the three years. Alongside practical training, the programme covers thermodynamics, chemical kinetics, spectroscopy, and the structural principles underlying biological and materials systems. Numerical and mathematical tools are integrated as supporting skills throughout, and many programmes include elements of biochemistry or materials science to broaden the disciplinary base. Graduates are prepared for roles in the pharmaceutical, chemical, food, cosmetic, and environmental industries, as well as positions in quality control, research and development, and regulatory affairs. Teaching and further academic research are also common paths for those who continue to master's or doctoral programmes in chemistry or a related science. Université de Caen Normandie offers this Licence Chimie in Caen, in the Normandy region of northern France. The degree spans 3 years, with September intake. Teaching is in French throughout. Annual tuition is 178 EUR.
