Bachelor in Licence Chimie

Graduates of the Licence Chimie at Université de La Réunion go on to work in various sectors such as pétrochimie, matériaux, agroalimentaire, pharmacologie, cosmétologie, and environnement, or continue their studies in Master programmes or schools of engineering, either on or off the island.

The programme is offered on the Saint-Denis - Campus du Moufia and is a three-year programme with two semesters per year. It includes teaching units (UE) in chemistry, which are shared with the Licence Accès Santé (L.AS) Chimie. The Licence Chimie provides a fundamental and applied chemistry education, covering areas such as chimie générale, chimie organique, chimie inorganique, chimie analytique, chimie physique, and chimie théorique, along with preprofessional stages and language courses in English. The curriculum also includes the acquisition of competencies that fit the Répertoire National des Certifications Professionnelles (RNCP) for Licence de chimie.

Students are prepared for careers as technician.ne.s de laboratoire or technician.ne.s analyste, or for further studies in Master programmes or schools of engineering, with some students destined for teaching the subject in secondary schools.
