Bachelor in Licence - Droit

Tuition costs 178 EUR per year.

The Licence - Droit (Bachelor of Law) at Université Paris Cité, based at the Malakoff campus near Paris, France, introduces students to the French and European legal system through 3 years of intensive and progressive study conducted in French. The curriculum covers constitutional law, civil law, criminal law, administrative law, private international law, and European Union law, training students in legal reasoning, statutory interpretation, case analysis, and rigorous written argumentation. The first year establishes fundamental legal concepts and vocabulary, while subsequent years deepen analytical skills and allow for greater specialisation across public and private law branches. Classes begin each September and annual tuition is 178 EUR, consistent with French public university fee regulations. A wide range of careers builds on a law degree: lawyers, notaries, magistrates, court clerks, legal advisors in companies, compliance officers, and civil servants across ministries and agencies. That said, most professional legal roles in France require further study at master's level or success in national competitive professional entrance examinations such as the bar examination or the ENM judicial school entrance. The Malakoff campus's proximity to central Paris gives students practical exposure to France's judicial and administrative environment through courts, law firms, ministries, and professional associations that operate nearby.
