Bachelor in Licence - Droit

For Bachelor in Licence - Droit, tuition is 178 EUR per year.

The Licence Droit is a three-year foundational degree in law that covers the core areas of the French and European legal system. Students study civil law, constitutional law, administrative law, criminal law, contract law, property law, and legal methodology. The curriculum is built around understanding legal texts, judicial reasoning, and the institutions through which law is made and applied. Written and oral legal argumentation are central to the pedagogical approach throughout the three years. At Université Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne in Paris, France, this bachelor-level program is taught entirely in French, starts each September, and carries annual tuition of 178 EUR. The Licence Droit is the standard entry point to the legal professions in France. Graduates typically continue to a Master's in law, which is required to qualify as a lawyer (avocat), notary, magistrate, or legal adviser. Others enter public administration, human resources, compliance, or business roles where legal knowledge is valued. The degree's analytical and argumentative training also prepares graduates for careers in policy, journalism, or further academic research.
