The Licence - Géographie et aménagement (Bachelor in Geography and Spatial Planning) at the Université de Rouen Normandie - Campus Mont-Saint-Aignan in Mont-Saint-Aignan, France, covers three years at bachelor level. Instruction is in French, starting in September, with yearly tuition of 178 EUR. Geography and spatial planning programs examine the relationships between human societies and their environments, at scales ranging from the local to the global. Students study physical geography, human geography, urban and regional planning, cartography, geographic information systems, and environmental analysis. The program addresses questions of territorial development, land use, urban growth, environmental change, and social inequalities as they play out across space. Practical skills in data collection, map production, fieldwork, and spatial analysis using digital tools are developed alongside theoretical frameworks drawn from the social and natural sciences. Students learn to read landscapes, interpret territorial dynamics, and produce clear geographic analyses for varied audiences. Fieldwork components, including site visits and local surveys, bring classroom concepts into contact with real places and problems. Graduates find roles in urban planning agencies, local authorities, environmental consulting, tourism development, and international cooperation. Many continue to master-level study in urban planning, environmental management, development studies, or geographic information science. The program provides a solid foundation for anyone interested in understanding how places are shaped, contested, and governed.
