Bachelor in Licence - Information et communication

At Université de Lorraine - UFR Sciences Humaines et Sociales - Site de Metz (57), tuition fees are 178 EUR per year.

Information and Communication (Information et communication) examines how messages, data, and narratives are produced, distributed, and received across media, organisations, and digital platforms. Students study journalism, public relations, corporate communication, digital media production, documentary practices, the sociology of media industries, and the cultural dimensions of information in contemporary societies. Courses combine analytical frameworks with practical skills in writing, editing, interviewing, and media content creation. This bachelor's programme (Licence) is delivered at the Université de Lorraine — UFR Sciences Humaines et Sociales — at its Metz campus in France. The degree runs over 3 years from September, with all teaching in French. Annual tuition is 178 EUR. Career options for graduates are broad, spanning journalism, corporate communications, public affairs, digital content creation, social media management, and roles across the media sector in broadcasting, publishing, and advertising. Many graduates also work in local authorities, cultural institutions, and non-governmental organisations where communication functions are central to operations. A master's degree in documentary journalism, digital communication strategy, media studies, or public relations is a common continuation, providing the specialisation that competitive positions in these fast-moving professional fields increasingly require. The location in Metz places students within reach of the broader Lorraine region, which has a dense network of media, public, and industrial employers.
