Bachelor in Licence - Information et communication

Tuition fees are 178 EUR per year.

Information and communication studies form a discipline centered on how messages, media, and organizations shape public understanding and exchange. A Licence in Information et communication, such as the one offered at Université Paris Panthéon Assas in Paris, typically introduces students to the theory and practice of media, journalism, public relations, corporate communication, and digital communication strategy. Coursework in this field usually covers media analysis, communication theory, sociology of information, writing for different media, and an introduction to marketing or organizational communication, giving students a broad foundation before they specialize further. Students also often study the legal and ethical dimensions of information circulation, since communication professionals must navigate questions of privacy, intellectual property, and public discourse. This kind of bachelor's degree prepares students for a wide range of career paths, including roles in press and media, advertising, public relations, corporate and institutional communication, digital marketing, and further graduate study in communication, journalism, or media management. Because the field sits at the intersection of the social sciences and professional practice, programs often combine academic coursework with practical exercises such as writing press releases, producing media content, or analyzing communication campaigns. At Université Paris Panthéon Assas, the program is a bachelor's degree completed over three years, with an intake in September and instruction delivered in French. Yearly tuition is 178 EUR. Students entering this program should be prepared for a curriculum that blends critical analysis of media and society with the practical skills needed to work in communication-related professions in Paris and beyond.
