Bachelor in Licence - Langues étrangères appliquées

Tuition fees for Bachelor in Licence - Langues étrangères appliquées are 178 EUR per year.

The Licence - Langues étrangères appliquées (Bachelor in Applied Foreign Languages) at the Université de Rouen Normandie - Campus Mont-Saint-Aignan in Mont-Saint-Aignan, France, is a three-year bachelor-level program taught in French, starting in September. Yearly tuition is 178 EUR. Applied foreign languages programs combine strong training in two or more foreign languages with practical skills in translation, international communication, and professional writing. Students study grammar, discourse, and the cultural contexts of their chosen languages while also taking modules in areas such as business communication, international relations, and document translation. The dual-language approach prepares graduates for careers where cross-linguistic competence is directly applied in professional settings. Students typically develop a primary and a secondary language to a high level, with coursework adapting to different communicative contexts — formal correspondence, negotiation, technical documentation, and oral interpretation. Practical exercises and, in many cases, study or internship periods abroad strengthen real-world language use. Career directions include international trade, tourism, human resources in multinational settings, publishing, and diplomatic or consular services. Many graduates pursue further studies at master level in specialized translation, international business, or language teaching. The program draws on both linguistic analysis and cultural study, giving students tools to navigate professional environments across language boundaries.
