Bachelor in Licence - Science politique

For Bachelor in Licence - Science politique, tuition fees are 178 EUR per year.

The Licence - Science politique at Université Paris 8, in Saint-Denis, France, offers an entry point into the study of political life: how power is organized, exercised, and contested within and between societies. Political science as a discipline covers political institutions and their functioning, comparative politics across different countries and regimes, public policy analysis, international relations, and the history of political ideas. Students typically also study research methods, including how to analyze political data and interpret institutional texts and public discourse. The field trains students to think critically about governance, elections, public administration, and the relationships between states, citizens, and international bodies. Career paths after a political science bachelor's are varied. Many students continue to a master's degree, often as preparation for competitive public service examinations, careers in public administration, or roles in international organizations and non-governmental organizations. Others move toward journalism, political consulting, law school, or research positions, applying the analytical and writing skills developed through the program. This is a three-year bachelor's degree taught in French, following the standard structure of the French licence. The academic year begins in September, and yearly tuition is 178 EUR, in keeping with tuition levels at French public universities. Located in Saint-Denis, the program benefits from proximity to Paris, a city home to numerous political institutions, embassies, and international organizations that form part of the broader environment in which political science is studied and practiced in France.
