Bachelor in Licence - Science politique

For Bachelor in Licence - Science politique, tuition comes to 178 EUR per year.

A Licence in Science politique gives students a grounding in how political systems, institutions, and actors function, combining perspectives from law, history, sociology, and economics. The curriculum generally includes political theory and the history of political ideas, comparative politics, the workings of public institutions and administration, international relations, and quantitative and qualitative methods for studying political and social phenomena. Students learn to analyze legal and constitutional texts, follow electoral and policy processes, and place French and European politics within a wider international context. The degree is frequently used as a stepping stone toward competitive entrance exams for Instituts d'études politiques or public administration schools, and toward graduate study in law, public policy, European affairs, or international relations. It also opens direct paths into careers such as public administration, political communication, journalism, and work with non-governmental organizations or research institutes focused on public affairs. This Licence is offered by the Université de Versailles - Saint Quentin en Yvelines, in Guyancourt, France. It is a bachelor's-level program lasting three years, taught in French, beginning in September, with yearly tuition of 178 EUR. Students should expect the first year to emphasize foundational courses across law, history, and the social sciences before the program narrows toward more specialized political science content in later years, a structure common to political science Licences in the French system.
