Master in M1 Physique Fondamentale

The M1 Physique Fondamentale is a one-year programme, based at the Orsay campus, that offers multiple specialisations and a wide choice of modules such as Complements de Physique et Chimie pour l'agrégation, Astrophysique: concepts et observations, and Nanosciences et Nanotechnologies to prepare students for careers as physicists, researchers, or engineers in industry and academia. It leads on to a large choice of M2 programmes, and aims to prepare students for further study or a career in research as a physicist, engineer or teacher. Students develop rigor and precision in their experimental work. The M1 provides a strong foundation in physics and includes numerous practical training sessions, allowing students to specialise in various areas of physics.
