Master in MA Interior Architecture / Interior Design

The MA in Interior Architecture / Interior Design is a four-semester programme open to graduates of interior architecture or interior design. It builds on the competencies and knowledge acquired at the Bachelor's level, enabling students to develop and apply creative and responsible solutions to interior architecture and design challenges across different physical and cultural contexts, whether at a local or global scale. The programme is taught entirely in English. The first year provides advanced visualisation training, two real-life design charrettes, and design and technology electives that allow students to deepen knowledge in a chosen area. The second year continues with further design and research work, a Theory and Communication elective, and additional charrettes. In the final semester, students complete a Master's thesis and a Master's design project on a topic of their own choosing. Interior Architecture is a protected profession in Germany; relevant Bachelor's and Master's degrees plus registration with the Chamber of Architects are required to use the title of Interior Architect. The programme is based at Berlin International University of Applied Sciences in Berlin, Germany.
