The MA in Interior Design is designed for graduates of creative disciplines adjacent to interior architecture, such as architecture or spatial design. Rather than building directly on a prior interior design degree, the programme introduces students to the specialised knowledge and skills of interior design from a related creative foundation, preparing them to work across different physical and cultural contexts at local and global levels. Taught entirely in English, the four-semester programme familiarises students with the principles of interior design during the first year, alongside advanced visualisation training and design and technology electives. The second year deepens design and research capabilities, introduces a Theory and Communication elective, and includes two fast-paced design charrettes. In the final semester, students complete a Master's thesis and a Master's design project on a topic of their choice. Because the programme is not a consecutive degree following a BA in Interior Architecture, it does not qualify graduates for registration with the Chamber of Architects under the protected Interior Architect title in Germany.
