Yönetim Bilişim Sistemleri

Management Information Systems is offered as a 4 year bachelor program at Adana Alparslan Türkeş Science and Technology University in Adana, Turkey, taught in English. The discipline sits between business administration and computer science, focusing on how organizations design, implement, and manage the information systems that support decision making, operations, and strategy. Typical coursework covers database design, systems analysis, business process modeling, programming fundamentals, network infrastructure, and enterprise resource planning, along with core business subjects such as accounting, management, and marketing. Students learn to translate organizational needs into technical requirements and to evaluate how technology choices affect efficiency, cost, and competitiveness. Over the four years, the curriculum generally builds from introductory programming and business courses toward more applied subjects like project management, data analytics, and information security. Group projects and case studies are common, since much of the field involves working with cross-functional teams to plan and roll out systems. Studying at a science and technology university in Adana places students among peers working on related technical disciplines, which can support interdisciplinary coursework. Graduates typically pursue careers as business analysts, systems analysts, IT project managers, database administrators, or consultants, working across sectors including finance, retail, healthcare, and manufacturing. The combination of technical and managerial training also prepares graduates for roles bridging IT departments and business units, and some continue into graduate study in information systems, business administration, or data analytics. English-medium instruction supports students in working with international vendors, software documentation, and business literature throughout their careers.
