Graduates from the Master Data Science Modélisation Statistique can look forward to careers in data science, particularly in roles such as statisticien (statistician), biostatisticien (biostatistician), Data Scientist, and data miner. Others will move into research, notably in PhDs such as the Doctorat de statistique (PhD in Statistics), or into engineering, in particular through the École d’ingénieur (Engineering School).

Based at the Campus of Vannes, this programme integrates the work of three partner labs: the IRISA (Institut de Recherche en Informatique et Systèmes Aléatoires), the Lab-STICC (Laboratoire en Sciences et Techniques de l’Information, de la Communication et de la Connaissance), and the LMBA (Laboratoire de Mathématiques de Bretagne Atlantique).
