Master Geographie — Géomarketing

Tuition comes to 250 EUR per year.

Geography studies the spatial organization of human activity and the physical environment, and a geomarketing specialization applies that perspective to commercial and market analysis. Typical subjects include spatial statistics, geographic information systems (GIS), consumer behavior, retail location theory, and the mapping of demographic and economic data. The Master Geographie — Geomarketing at Universite Paris-Est Creteil, based in Creteil, France, is a two-year master's degree taught in French, with studies expected to start in September and yearly tuition of 250 EUR. Students in a geomarketing program generally learn to combine geographic data with market research to answer questions such as where a business should locate, how a trade area should be defined, or how population and mobility patterns affect demand. Training often includes hands-on use of mapping and spatial analysis software, along with statistical methods for handling large datasets tied to location. Case-based work involving retail, real estate, or service networks is common, since the discipline sits at the crossing point of geography, marketing, and data analysis. Understanding how territories differ in population density, income, and accessibility is central to the kind of reasoning this field develops. Graduates typically move into roles such as location analyst, market research consultant, urban and commercial planning specialist, or data analyst within retail, real estate, or logistics companies. Others apply the skills in local government or consulting firms working on territorial development projects. The specialization suits students who want to combine spatial thinking with practical business applications.
