Master Informatique — A la carte "Algorithmiques et systèmes intelligents"

At Université de Caen Normandie, tuition fees are 250 EUR per year.

The Master Informatique at Université de Caen Normandie also offers an à la carte pathway in Algorithmiques et systèmes intelligents, or algorithmics and intelligent systems, within the broader discipline of computer science. At the master's level, computer science typically covers algorithm design and analysis, programming paradigms, databases, and computer architecture, with an intelligent systems concentration adding focused study of artificial intelligence methods, machine learning, knowledge representation, and automated reasoning. Students in this kind of track often study how algorithms can be designed for efficiency and correctness, how intelligent agents and learning systems are built and evaluated, and how data-driven methods are applied to problems such as pattern recognition or decision support. Coursework typically blends mathematical foundations, including logic, probability, and optimization, with hands-on programming and project work, often including group projects or an internship. Career paths for graduates commonly include software development, data science, machine learning engineering, and research roles in academic or industrial laboratories, with some pursuing doctoral study afterward. This is a two-year master's degree delivered in French at Université de Caen Normandie, located in Caen, in Normandy. Admission generally requires a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related quantitative field, along with solid programming skills. Yearly tuition is 250 EUR, in line with standard public tuition for master's programs in France. The program is expected to start in September, with the curriculum progressing from core computer science topics in the first year toward the algorithmics and intelligent systems specialization that defines the second year of study.
