Master Langues Etrangeres Appliquees

Tuition comes to 250 EUR per year.

The Master Langues Étrangères Appliquées, or Master's in Applied Foreign Languages, at Université de Picardie Jules-Verne in Amiens, France, trains students to use foreign languages as a practical tool within professional settings rather than studying them purely for literary or linguistic purposes. Programs of this kind typically require proficiency in at least two foreign languages and combine language study with subjects such as international business, law, economics, or communication, so that graduates can operate across languages in commercial or administrative contexts. Coursework often includes business correspondence, translation, negotiation, and the study of the institutional and economic environments of the countries where the target languages are spoken. Students build both linguistic fluency and familiarity with how international trade, contracts, and organizations function in practice. This combination of language skill and applied professional knowledge prepares graduates for roles such as international business development, export management, translation and localization, corporate communications, and positions within multinational companies or international organizations that require multilingual staff. The degree suits students who enjoy languages but want a career path more oriented toward business and international relations than toward teaching or literary research. This is a master's-level program lasting two years, with instruction delivered in French, and an intake expected in September. The estimated yearly tuition is two hundred fifty euros. Because the program is built around applying multiple languages in professional contexts, strong French ability combined with solid competence in the other languages studied is important for success in the coursework.
