Master Mathematiques Et Applications

Tuition comes to 250 EUR per year.

The Master Mathematiques Et Applications at Universite de Lorraine in Metz, France, is a two-year program taught in French, with yearly tuition of 250 euros and an intake generally set for September. Mathematics and its applications is a field of study that covers both the theoretical foundations of mathematics and its use in solving practical problems across science, engineering, and industry. Students in this area typically study core mathematical subjects such as analysis, algebra, and probability, alongside applied topics including numerical methods, statistics, and mathematical modeling. Coursework often addresses how mathematical tools are used to model and solve real-world problems, whether in engineering, finance, computer science, or other fields, along with the computational methods needed to implement and test these models. Depending on the specific orientation of the program, students may focus more heavily on pure mathematical theory or on applied and computational techniques used in industry and research. Because mathematics underpins many technical and scientific fields, training in this area develops strong analytical and problem-solving skills that transfer across a wide range of professional contexts. Graduates of mathematics master's programs commonly pursue careers as data analysts or statisticians, working in industries such as finance, technology, or consulting, or move into applied research and engineering roles that require strong quantitative skills. Others go on to teaching, either at the secondary level after further training or, for those pursuing doctoral study, toward academic and research careers in mathematics. As the program is delivered entirely in French, applicants need strong French language skills, along with a solid mathematical background, to follow the coursework over the two years of study.
