Programme Profile

The M.Arch. in Architectural Design is the second-tier qualification, succeeding the Diploma in Design Foundation Studies and the B.Sc. (Hons) in Built Environment Studies, preparing graduates for an EU-accredited warrant to pursue a career as an Architect. The course structure conforms to the Bologna Process and to Article 46 of EU Directive 2005/36/EC on the Training of Architects.

Students receive a balance of theoretical knowledge in subjects relevant to architecture, manifested into practical architectural design workshops. In the final year, taught and research knowledge culminate in a Masters-level Dissertation and Synoptic Final Project, implementing independent research skills.

Career Prospects

Graduates satisfy the academic requirements for professional status in Malta, and for the title of Architect at European level under EU Directive 2005/36/EC. The qualification also provides a pathway to doctoral study.

• After it has been processed to the university you will receive your unique application ID from each university.

• After you have been accepted you will receive your admissions letter electronically and asked to pay the non-refundable deposit to the university.

• Once you have paid the deposit the university will issue you the admissions letter and visa form to your home country.
