Master of Computer Science (Software Engineering)

At University of Wollongong, applications close International: 9 December 2025 (Autumn 2026); 5 May 2026 (Spring 2026).

The programme spans two years of full-time study (or part-time equivalent). In the first year you complete core subjects such as IT project management, advanced programming, algorithms and data structures. In the second year you choose a major – Cyber security, Machine learning and big data, Network and information security or Software engineering – and undertake a final-year capstone team project.

The course is aimed at students who hold a recognised bachelor’s degree with an average mark of 60 % or higher and wish to deepen their technical expertise and professional skills in computer science. It also welcomes candidates with substantial relevant work experience who can demonstrate the required academic standard.
