At University of Wollongong, applications close Autumn 2026 International: 9 December 2025; Spring 2026 International: 5 May 2026.
The Master of Engineering (Telecommunications Engineering) runs over two years of full-time study. In the first year you complete a series of taught subjects that build advanced knowledge of signals, systems, mobile networks and internet architectures. The second year is dominated by a major research-oriented project where you apply those concepts to design and evaluate communication systems.
Each week you attend lectures and workshops, spend substantial time in specialised telecommunications labs, and work on team-based design assignments. Project milestones require regular reporting and presentations, developing both technical and professional engineering skills.
- Provisionally accredited by Engineers Australia
- Core subjects include Advanced Signals and Systems, Mobile Networks, Future Internet architectures and protocols
- Capstone Advanced Project integrates theory with real-world system design
- Studied on-campus at Wollongong with dedicated telecommunications laboratories
