The Master of Engineering (ME) is a thesis-based, 120-point research degree from the Wellington Faculty of Engineering for graduates with a Bachelor of Engineering with Honours who want to carry out significant research contributing to knowledge in their field.

Research areas and supervision

• Supervisors available in the School of Engineering and Computer Science (electronics, network, renewable energy systems, software engineering) and the Paihau–Robinson Research Institute (high temperature superconductivity, mechanical, mechatronic and electrical engineering)
• Depending on your thesis topic, the ME may be endorsed in Electronic and Computer Systems Engineering, Network Engineering, or Software Engineering
• Choose a 120-point thesis, or a 90-point thesis combined with 30 points of coursework
• Normally a one-year, full-time programme; can also be studied part time
