About Master of Landscape Architecture Program

Each morning, the director of Clemson University Landscape Architecture (CULA) greets about 90 students in Lee Hall, where 15 are studying for the Master of Landscape Architecture (MLA).

These students and alumni contribute to communities across South Carolina and beyond, from local projects in Seneca and Greenville to international projects in Barcelona, Genoa, and Egypt.

The program's faculty, including award-winning researcher Robert Hewitt and Science Foundation grantee Hala Nassar, lead students in a variety of modules including a planting design course. The program is LAAB-accredited, and the MLA degree is now a part of the new residency in the School of Architecture (SoA).

In addition to traditional academic study, the program offers off-campus locations at the Clemson Design Center in Charleston and the Barcelona Architecture Center, not to mention the opportunity to work in the 'a.LINE.ments' studio.
