Research in engineering and information sciences seeks to answer how new technologies, data analytics and physical principles can solve real-world problems. The Master of Research provides the skills and methodological foundation for students to design, conduct and evaluate original investigations across a wide range of disciplines.

A distinctive feature of this programme is the accreditation of the Medical Radiation Physics specialisation by the Commission on Accreditation of Medical Physics Education Programs, ensuring graduates meet professional standards recognised internationally.

The degree requires 96 credit points over two years, with the first year devoted to research training and coursework and the second year to a supervised thesis. A broad selection of specialisations is available, including mathematics, applied statistics, physics, computer science, electrical, civil, environmental and mechanical engineering. It is suited to graduates with a strong quantitative background who wish to develop a career in research, industry or further doctoral study.
