Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science

Tuition comes to 174,509 AED per year.

The Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science at University of Birmingham Dubai is delivered in English at the university's campus in Dubai. This program sits at the intersection of computer science and artificial intelligence, covering both the foundational principles of computing and the methods used to build systems capable of learning from data and performing tasks that typically require human intelligence. Students in this program typically study subjects such as algorithms and data structures, machine learning, neural networks and deep learning, natural language processing, computer vision, and the ethical and societal implications of artificial intelligence, combining theoretical understanding with practical programming and modeling skills. Coursework generally involves a mix of lectures, programming assignments and project work, in which students build and evaluate models or systems using real or simulated data, and many programs at this level also include a research-oriented dissertation or capstone project. Because artificial intelligence draws on statistics, computer science and domain knowledge from the field of application, students often develop skills in data preprocessing, model evaluation and the practical deployment of intelligent systems. Graduates of programs in artificial intelligence and computer science pursue careers as machine learning engineers, data scientists, software developers specializing in intelligent systems, and research roles within technology companies and research institutions, as well as further doctoral study for those interested in academic or advanced research careers. The rapid growth of artificial intelligence applications across finance, healthcare, logistics and other sectors makes this an active area of professional demand. This program is accredited by the UAE Commission for Academic Accreditation, reflecting Dubai's expanding role in technology-focused higher education.
