Master of Science Sport Performance Analysis

For Master of Science Sport Performance Analysis, tuition fees are 76,491 AED per year.

Sport performance analysis applies scientific methods and technology to the study of athletic performance, helping coaches and support staff make evidence-based decisions. The discipline draws on sport science, statistics, biomechanics and video technology, and students learn to collect, process and interpret performance data from training sessions and competitive matches. The Master of Science Sport Performance Analysis is offered by Middlesex University Dubai in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with instruction delivered in English. At master's level, study in this field typically extends beyond the technical skills covered in a certificate or diploma to include research methods and a substantial independent project, allowing students to investigate a specific performance analysis question using real or simulated sporting data. Subjects commonly covered include notational analysis, movement and technique analysis, performance analysis technology and software, and the statistical evaluation of athlete and team data. Career directions for graduates include performance analyst roles within professional and amateur sports clubs, national sporting federations, university sport science departments, and organisations involved in athlete development and talent identification. Because performance analysts work closely with coaches, athletes and other members of sport science teams, the field places as much emphasis on communicating findings clearly as on the underlying technical analysis itself. The growing role of data and video technology in sport, including in professional leagues and sporting events across the Gulf region, has increased demand for specialists able to interpret and apply performance data. Students undertaking this master's degree in Dubai are based in a city with an active sporting scene, offering context for applying performance analysis principles to a range of sports and settings.
