Master of Science Strength and Conditioning

At Middlesex University Dubai, tuition fees are 76,491 AED per year.

The Master of Science in Strength and Conditioning at Middlesex University Dubai provides a full postgraduate education in the science and practice of developing athletic performance, taught in English in the emirate of Dubai. The discipline combines exercise physiology, biomechanics and applied coaching practice to address how training can be structured to improve strength, power, speed and overall athletic capability while reducing injury risk. Students typically study advanced topics in periodization and training program design, exploring how load, intensity and recovery are managed across training cycles for different sports and athlete populations. The biomechanics of strength training is usually examined in depth, covering movement analysis and the mechanical principles behind effective and safe exercise technique. Testing and monitoring form another core area, with students learning to use physiological and performance data to evaluate athletes and adjust training accordingly. Research methods are a significant component of master's-level study, preparing students to critically evaluate evidence in strength and conditioning and, in many cases, to complete an independent research project or dissertation applying these methods to a question of their choosing. Applied coaching skills, including how to communicate with athletes and integrate strength and conditioning work within a broader sport science or coaching setup, are typically woven throughout the program. Graduates of a master's degree in this field are prepared for specialized careers as strength and conditioning coaches, sport science practitioners or performance staff working with athletes and teams, as well as for further academic or research work. Studying in Dubai offers access to a growing regional sport and fitness sector relevant to this applied, performance-focused discipline.
