Each week you will join online seminars, read current research, and critically review the health and wellbeing of older adults. You will undertake case-based studies, develop advocacy projects and, where applicable, complete placements in aged-care or rehabilitation settings. Regular assignments involve writing evidence-based reports and presenting findings to peers. The Master of Science (Leadership in Gerontology and Rehabilitation) focuses on the challenges of ageing populations, social policy in aged care and the development of rehabilitation services. It builds leadership, research and management capabilities for roles such as senior clinicians, health managers, teachers and researchers in gerontology and dementia care. The course is suited to nurses, medical practitioners, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, social workers and family carers who wish to advance into senior positions while continuing their practice.
