The Master Philosophie at Bamberg University offers four specialisations: Antike Philosophie, Praktische Philosophie, Philosophische Anthropologie, and Freie Spezialisierung. The programme is structured around a Cambridge model, which includes lectures, essay formats, and intensive supervision. This approach allows students to develop a comprehensive understanding of philosophical concepts and to engage in deep, analytical discussions. Students can also integrate modules from other disciplines such as Psychology, Computer Science, Political Science, and Romanistik, which fosters a holistic and interdisciplinary learning experience. The programme culminates in a 30 ECTS master thesis, enabling students to pursue both academic and professional careers in sectors such as academia, journalism, publishing, software development, and consulting. The programme's reputation and quality are reflected in the positive experiences and testimonials from students, who highlight the supportive environment, thorough supervision, and the overall excellent quality.

The curriculum is methodically diverse, emphasizing both analytical and continental philosophy, and includes a module called 'Philosophisches Argumentieren und Diskutieren', where students practice writing argumentative essays and engaging in systematic discussions with philosophical texts in small groups.
