Master Program in Biochemical & Biomedical Engineering

At National Taipei University of Technology, tuition is 120,119 TWD per year.

Biochemical and biomedical engineering applies engineering principles to problems in biology and medicine, covering the design of medical devices, biomaterials, diagnostic tools, and processes for producing pharmaceutical and biological products. Students in this field typically study biomechanics, biomaterials, biochemical process engineering, medical device design, and the biological principles underlying human physiology and disease. The discipline combines engineering methods with biological and medical knowledge to develop technologies that support healthcare, diagnostics, and biotechnology production. This Master Program in Biochemical and Biomedical Engineering is offered by National Taipei University of Technology, located in northern Taiwan, at the master's degree level. Instruction is delivered in English, allowing international students to pursue graduate study in this field without needing Chinese-language proficiency for coursework. As a technology-focused institution, this setting supports an applied approach to biochemical and biomedical engineering education, combining laboratory work with engineering design principles. Graduates of biochemical and biomedical engineering programs pursue careers in medical device design and manufacturing, pharmaceutical and biotechnology production, diagnostic technology development, and research roles within hospitals, universities, and industry. The combination of engineering and biological training prepares graduates to work on problems ranging from the design of implantable devices to the development of processes for manufacturing biological drugs. Career paths include roles as biomedical engineers, process engineers within biotechnology companies, quality and regulatory specialists in medical device firms, and researchers contributing to the development of new diagnostic or therapeutic technologies. As healthcare and biotechnology industries continue to grow, professionals trained in biochemical and biomedical engineering are positioned to contribute across a range of technical roles connecting engineering expertise with medical and biological applications.
