Master Sciences Cognitives

Tuition fees are 250 EUR per year.

Université Lumière - Lyon 2 offers a Master Sciences Cognitives in Bron, a two-year program in cognitive science taught in French. Cognitive science is an interdisciplinary field that studies the mind and mental processes, drawing on psychology, neuroscience, linguistics, philosophy, and computer science to understand how humans perceive, learn, reason, and communicate. Typical coursework includes subjects such as cognitive psychology, neuroscience of cognition, language processing, decision-making, and often elements of artificial intelligence or computational modeling of cognitive processes. Students generally study how these different disciplines converge to explain mental functions, combining experimental methods with theoretical frameworks drawn from multiple fields. Graduates of cognitive science programs commonly move into roles in research, human-computer interaction design, user experience research, or further specialized study in psychology, neuroscience, or artificial intelligence, depending on their particular interests within the field. The interdisciplinary nature of cognitive science also makes it a useful foundation for work in technology companies developing systems that need to account for human perception and reasoning. The program starts in September and runs for two years, with instruction delivered entirely in French, so applicants should have strong French language skills together with an undergraduate background in psychology, linguistics, computer science, or a related field. Yearly tuition is 250 EUR. Based in Bron, part of the greater Lyon metropolitan area, the program is situated within a significant French academic center. Prospective students should be comfortable with both experimental and theoretical approaches to studying the mind.
