The Master's Degree Programme in Sustainable Packaging prepares professionals to lead the packaging industry's shift toward a circular economy and respond to growing regulatory, consumer, and environmental demands. The curriculum takes an interdisciplinary and international approach, covering the full packaging value chain: material innovation, product design, circular economy principles, regulation, AI utilization, eco-management, and lifecycle thinking. Students deepen their expertise in packaging materials including paper, cardboard, plastics, glass, and metal, along with their production processes and life cycle scenarios. Skills in life cycle assessment, research, communication, and international project management are developed throughout. Learning takes place through hands-on projects and real-world case studies, supported by TAMK's research, development, and innovation activities. Students may also complete part of their studies at TAMK's international partner institutions. The program requires a suitable Bachelor's degree and at least two years of work experience. Studies begin in September 2027. The program is offered at Tampere University of Applied Sciences in Tampere, Finland.
