Master in Business Administration

Master in Business Administration at GlobalNxt University is a 1.5-year master's degree, taught in English, delivered online. Tuition fees are 3,100 USD total programme cost; applications are accepted on a rolling basis.

GlobalNxt University began in 2001 as U21Global, a joint venture between the Universitas 21 network of research universities and Thomson Learning, based in Singapore. The Manipal Education and Medical Group took a stake in 2007, and in 2012 the university relocated to Kuala Lumpur under Malaysia's Ministry of Higher Education, becoming GlobalNxt University. It traded as Manipal GlobalNxt University from 2018 until May 2025, when the ministry approved a return to its original name.

How tuition and accreditation work

All of GlobalNxt's programmes are accredited by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency, and the university holds a full licence from Malaysia's Ministry of Higher Education. It is listed in the World Higher Education Database maintained by the International Association of Universities under UNESCO, and its qualifications are recognised by World Education Services and the International Qualifications Assessment Service for study or work abroad. Fees are quoted for the whole programme rather than per year: the Open and Distance Learning MBA costs USD 4,650 in total, the on-campus MBA USD 8,850, and the on-campus BBA USD 13,450.

Kuala Lumpur

GlobalNxt is headquartered in Kuala Lumpur and teaches most of its 17 programmes here through Open and Distance Learning, alongside a smaller on-campus track for its BBA and MBA. It is a member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities, AACSB and EFMD, three of the more selective networks in business education, alongside its national accreditations.
