Master in Mathematics (MSc)

Graduates pursue positions in teaching, actuarial science, computer analysis, operations research, biomathematics, cryptography, finance and management, or enrol in PhD programmes. They are employed by universities, research institutes, government agencies and industry.

The MSc in Mathematics is normally completed over two years of full-time study, with a part-time route also available. It follows a thesis pathway, requiring students to define a research problem, undertake independent investigation and produce a written dissertation evaluated by a supervisory panel.
