기계항공우주공학부(기계공학전공)

Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering covers the design, analysis, and manufacture of mechanical systems and aircraft or spacecraft components, applying principles of mechanics, materials science, and thermodynamics. Students in this field typically study machine design, fluid mechanics, materials engineering, and aerodynamics, along with the specialized requirements of aerospace structures and propulsion systems. Research often extends into topics such as structural analysis of aircraft components, propulsion systems, and advanced materials for mechanical and aerospace applications. Graduates pursue careers in aerospace and defense companies, manufacturing firms, automotive companies, and research institutes focused on mechanical or aerospace engineering. This four-year combined master's and doctoral program in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering is offered at Gyeongsang National University in Jinju, South Korea, with instruction conducted in English. The program combines master's coursework with doctoral research, moving students from foundational study toward an independent research project that results in a PhD dissertation in mechanical or aerospace engineering. Students typically work with a faculty advisor throughout the program. This combined structure is designed for applicants who wish to complete both a master's and a doctoral degree within a single continuous program. Jinju, in South Gyeongsang Province, hosts the university's engineering research facilities supporting this field. Applicants should review the university's admission requirements, including its English proficiency standards, before applying to this program.
