Master in Mechanical Engineering IM

The UTC-IM program in mechanical engineering is created through a merger of two UTC departments – GM (Mechanical Engineering) and GSM (Mechanical Systems Engineering) to train general mechanical engineering graduates for sectors needing such skills, such as the automobile, aerospace, and energy industries. UTC-IM graduates are expected to be able to intervene through the product lifecycle and various project phases, including pre-product design and prototyping, development, industrialization, mass production, and sales. It covers a wide range of sectoral activities, from automobile industries to bio-mechanical applications.

Students are prepared to design and size robust and safe mechanical systems, propose materials best suited to expected constraints, integrate vibro-acoustic analyses to mechanical designs, implement quality assurance measurements and certification, and use digital engineering tools and software (CAD, PLM).
