Preparing for a career in health information management involves training to handle clinical records with accuracy and care. The programme teaches how to manage medical data, protect patient privacy, and support healthcare teams with reliable information. Real-world practice is included through labs and a work placement.

Courses cover medical terminology, health legislation, and information technology. Students learn to analyze patient files, code data, and create reports. Skills in ethics, communication, and teamwork are also developed. These skills enable work in hospitals, clinics, research centers, and government agencies.

The programme begins in the fall session. Admission opens in January. A secondary school diploma with a CST course from fourth year or Math 514 is required. Graduates have a 93% job placement rate and can work in Canada, the United States, and Switzerland.
