Medical University of Gdańsk offers a non-degree Premedical Course taught in English, running one year across two semesters. The course is designed to meet the needs of high school graduates who wish to pursue a medical education but who have taken few of the core science courses required to prepare successfully for medical school. It runs from the beginning of October through the end of May, split into two semesters of study. Completing the Premedical Course gives participants the opportunity to be accepted onto the university's six-year MD program the following academic year. For students who successfully complete a premedical year, progression into a full MD program means committing to six years of further study encompassing pre-clinical science followed by clinical training.
