The MEng Mechanical Engineering at Heriot-Watt University includes a module on sustainable development and a curriculum informed by the university's four main research themes: Biomedical Engineering, Digital Engineering, Energy Harvesting and Conversion, and Multiphase Flow. It equips students to engineer solutions that are environmentally, financially, and socially sustainable, covering topics such as designing turbines, heat pumps, enhancing transport efficiency, and improving medical engineering and nanotechnology.
