About Master in M.Sc. Landschaftsentwicklung

Graduates of the Master Landschaftsentwicklung go on to work in authorities, administrations, and companies for spatial, urban, and landscape planning, as well as in environmental organizations, nature conservation associations, and research facilities both locally and abroad. The programme is accredited until 31.08.2027 by HTW Dresden. Students gain a comprehensive, interdisciplinary expertise in environmental sciences, enabling them to develop implementation-oriented concepts for landscape development based on scientific analyses of environmental assets and ecosystem services. They specialize in the efficient management of ecosystems, assess landscape changes, and evaluate competing land uses in terms of compatibility and risks. The curriculum includes methods of planning, modeling, and visualization, with a strong emphasis on communication with stakeholders. The programme is taught in German and includes a 3-semester full-time study period, with a regular study duration of 3 semesters and 90 ECTS points.
