Master in MSc Molecular Science

Erlangen, Germany Taught in English Open to international students

About the Program

The MSc Molecular Science at FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg is a research-oriented, interdisciplinary programme combining chemistry with adjacent disciplines. Students must pre-select one of two main modules — Molecular Nanoscience or Drug Discovery — which together with a topically related compulsory elective module form the core of the first part of the programme. Elective topics in the compulsory module include areas such as advances in bioorganic and bioinorganic chemistry, organic chemistry, homogeneous catalysis, interface and catalysis research, and energy materials. The third semester adds a flexible elective module package that allows study beyond chemistry topics, along with an advanced research module within one of FAU's research disciplines. The fourth semester is dedicated to the Master's thesis. The programme spans four semesters and is open for entry in both the winter and summer semester. The programme is offered at FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg in Erlangen, Germany.
