This program explores how musical expressions can be understood alongside film, literature, performing arts, visual media, and digital formats. It focuses on interpreting intermedial works where music is one element. This strengthens the ability to see connections and opens up interdisciplinary approaches. It builds insight and skills highly relevant for today's society, schools, and the arts and culture sector.

Programme Details

The program is a certificate or diploma. It lasts for 1 semester. The study location is Hamar. Instruction is in Norwegian. The program offers 10 study credits. It starts in August. The program is part-time and attendance-based. There are five mandatory sessions in Hamar. Students must also engage in self-study and use a digital learning platform.

Admission Requirements

To qualify, applicants need a teacher education, bachelor's degree, or equivalent education of at least 180 credits. This must include a subject specialization of at least 80 credits in music. Alternatively, 60 credits in music and 20 credits in another language or cultural subject are accepted. Applications are submitted through a local application web. Costs and Further Study

Students must pay a semester fee each semester. This program can be credited towards the Master in Cultural and Language Studies at the University of Inland Norway.
