Bachelor in Mycorrhizal Fungi

At Mount Saint Vincent University, tuition fees are 23,215 CAD per year.

Faculty member Gavin Kernaghan's team works on mycorrhizae — symbiotic fungi that form mutualistic relationships with plants, helping them access water and soil nutrients in exchange for sugars. Their current research, funded by the Atlantic Ecosystems Initiative Grant, studies how mycorrhizal fungi differ between 'upland' forests and forested wetlands, aiding northward tree migration in Labrador under climate change. This bachelor programme at Mount Saint Vincent University focuses on the ecology and physiology of mycorrhizal fungi, with a strong lab component.
