Norsk fordypning: Språk Programme

The University of Inland Norway offers the Norsk fordypning: Språk programme. This is a certificate or diploma programme. It is designed for one semester. The language of instruction is Norwegian (Nob).

About the Study

This programme focuses on teaching Nynorsk as a secondary language. It explores different perspectives on language learning and teaching Nynorsk. Students will discuss theories and develop their skills as Norwegian teachers. The course covers Nynorsk's form, history, and its connection to identity. It compares Nynorsk with dialects for classroom use. This is not a basic Nynorsk course. It requires prior knowledge of Nynorsk grammar.

Admission Requirements

To apply, you need general university admission qualifications. You also need one year of study in Norwegian or Nordic languages (60 credits) or equivalent. The programme is offered at the Hamar campus. The start date is August 26, 2026.
