About Master in Nuclear power engineering

For Master in Nuclear power engineering, tuition costs 4,000 EUR per year.

Nuclear Power Engineering at Wrocław University of Science and Technology is an international master's specialization within the field of Power Engineering, taught in English over three semesters with an annual tuition fee of 4000 EUR. The program is designed to give both Polish and international students detailed knowledge and skills in nuclear energy, combining lectures, laboratories, and classes that cover nuclear reactor physics, thermal hydraulics, radiation protection, the nuclear fuel cycle, and the safety, operation, and maintenance of nuclear power plants. The first semester includes courses in applied mathematics, selected physics topics, numerical methods, thermal-flow processes, heat transfer and mass flow in nuclear reactors, nuclear physics and reactor theory, the nuclear fuel cycle, radioisotopes and ionizing radiation protection, and a foreign language at B2-plus level. The second semester covers mathematical modeling of energy generation installations, new-generation energy technologies, advanced nuclear power reactors, nuclear machinery and equipment, materials engineering, nuclear safety and security, an elective management course, and a further foreign language at any level. The program is run in cooperation with foreign and national institutes and companies, and teaching is supported by visiting professors and industrial specialists. Graduates are prepared for engineering careers in the energy sector, with particular emphasis on the nuclear power industry, spanning plant operation, safety analysis, and technology development roles. Wrocław, home to one of Poland's largest technical universities, provides an academic setting where nuclear engineering study connects to a broader network of applied science and engineering programs, giving students exposure to both the theoretical foundations and practical demands of nuclear power generation across the three-semester structure of the degree.
