    Introduction

More than 170 years of history shape Carson-Newman University's identity as a Christian institution focused on educating citizens and worldwide servant-leaders. Faculty invest in students inside and outside the classroom, with a 12:1 student-faculty ratio. Academic options include more than 50 majors and 14 graduate degrees, supported by hands-on opportunities such as state-of-the-art labs, student teaching, and internships.

The College of Health Sciences brings together Nursing, Exercise Science, and the Doctor of Nurse Anesthesia Practice. Music students use the Tarr Music Center's practice rooms, music library, piano lab, and rehearsal spaces. Students can also pursue interests through theatre, concerts, intramurals, club sports, and 21 NCAA Division II athletic teams. Study-abroad opportunities extend across six continents.

The campus is in Jefferson City, Tennessee, about 35 minutes from Knoxville and 40 minutes from the Great Smoky Mountains. Mossy Creek runs through campus, while Cherokee and Douglas lakes are nearby. Housing includes residence halls, apartments, and West Campus Commons, a 110,000-square-foot complex with more than 520 beds, study areas, lounges, games, and a market. International students should expect a campus where Christian faith and service are central to student life.

    About the Program

Students study evidence-based nursing practice for registered nurses. They also study healthcare delivery systems, health economics and finance, health policy, research methods, population health, and nursing leadership.

Graduates use this training to translate research into practice, evaluate evidence, apply research in decision-making, and implement clinical innovations that change practice.

For international students, tuition is well below the median for US programmes. The institution admits about 68% of applicants.
